About the pictures
Cass Merrow has been drawing the restaurant since the year we opened. She comes in twice a season, sits at the end of the bar with a sketchbook and a glass of the gamay, and sends the finished pieces over a fortnight later. They hang as prints along the stairs to the Long Room, and a few are for sale.

The drawings are good. The room is better, especially at about half seven on a Friday when the pass is going and the window seats have gone.
