One oak table under three sash windows, its own small bar and a door that shuts. Good for birthdays, wakes, launches and the sort of work dinner where people need to hear each other.

The Kitchen Table

Eight stools along the pass with Nell cooking a foot away and talking you through it. Not a quiet dinner. Booked as a whole table only, and usually a month out.

The whole restaurant

Both floors, the bar, the terrace at the back and the music under your control. We have done weddings for forty, a christening, and one very long retirement lunch that finished at nine.

Packages

Prices are per head and include printed menus with your guests' names on them if you send us a list. Room hire is free once the minimum spend is met. Below it, the difference is charged as hire.

  • Dietary requirements are handled individually, not with a single spare plate.
  • Bring your own wine at £20 a bottle corkage, up to six bottles.
  • Cake is fine. We will plate and serve it for £2 a head.
  • Deposit is £250, taken to hold the date and knocked off the final bill.

How it works

Four emails,
then dinner.

  1. 01

    Tell us the shape of it

    Date, rough numbers, what the occasion is and whether people will be standing or sitting. The form below covers it.

  2. 02

    We hold the date

    Joss replies within a working day with what is free and what it will cost. Dates hold for five days without a deposit.

  3. 03

    Menu, two weeks out

    Nell writes options around what is in season that week. You pick one set menu for the table, with the dietary requirements sorted separately.

  4. 04

    Final numbers, three days out

    That is the number we charge for. One bill at the end, or a bar tab with a limit, whichever you prefer.
